Southside Hustle - Wimbledon
This morning, I took a trip to Wimbledon for the Southside Hustle Classic Car meet, which happens on the first Sunday of each month. I’ve never been before, but anyone who knows me knows that I can’t resist photographing classic cars whenever I can… so this was the perfect Sunday morning activity for me.
I shot these photos on the Fujifilm XT-5 with the 16-55mm 2.8 zoom lens, which has become my favourite set-up for shooting car events. It’s fun to be able to shoot wide, as this means I can change up the perspective of my compositions as opposed to just shooting at one set focal length all the time.
Next time, I’ll make sure I wake up a bit earlier to go, as the event started winding down at about 11 am. But it was a lot of fun to see so many cool cars (and a few motorbikes) on display, as well as not one but TWO yellow Lamborghinis. Definitely somewhere I need to go back and shoot again!
